Very good cruise. Comedy and Magic shows were excellent. Beautiful ship. Food good, but not as many selections at the buffet as we've had on other cruise ships. Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, and the Deli are great but the lines are long. Late night pizza OK
Carnival Glory Cruise Review to Caribbean - Bahamas
Everything was OK on this cruise. I don't have any large complaints. Several minor ones (listed above) were more about the behavior of the other guests. I guess I could knock Carnival for not correcting those guest's behaviors. Food was good. The comedian shows and the magician show were excellent. The ship is beautiful. Could use better visual indicators as to which way is which (fore, aft, port, starboard).
Embarkation

The process went smoothly, but the employee at the security checkpoint obviously hates her job.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food is good. I am diabetic and the sugar-free desserts were all really good except for the pear cake - that was like a muffin. We did not eat at any pay-extra venues. Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, and the Deli were all good, but the lines were long. The buffet was good but had fewer selections than we've seen on other ships. The line was OK at the buffet. I prefer stations at a buffet instead of a single line. Dining room was good, but I did not care for the staff dancing. I get that Carnival is trying to make it fun, but even on a casual night, the dining room should be a bit reserved. That's just a personal preference though. The shrimp cocktail shrimp are too small - unimpressive. Also, not enough and not prominently positioned hand sanitizers in the dining areas - no hand-washing sinks. Staff did not correct people who were eating while in line at the buffet. I realize they don't wish to be rude, but that's disgusting and unsanitary.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Pool and hot tub areas are well maintained. Mini golf course was fun. I missed the Pickleball tournament., I would like to have seen that and Pickleball lessons. People were enjoying the basketball court. Serenity lounge (adults only) area was nice and peaceful. Loved the round semi-covered lounge beds.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Music at the pool was good. The string ensemble playing pop music in the Lobby was awesome. The late-night adult-only comedy shows were great. PG shows earlier in the evening were available. The magician on the last night was the best magic show I've ever seen.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
First and foremost, Gabby, the CD was awesome! So were the rest of the Fun Ships staff. Everyone else except the woman at the embarkation port security check was awesome. That woman should do herself a favor and find a job she likes doing better. She scowled the whole time. Not the way I want to start my cruise experience.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Except for pool area toilets before departure on the first day. They were disgusting. I'm not sure if they wouldn't flush or if new cruisers just didn't understand how they function, but they were piled high with feces similar to a county fair port-o-potty on the last day of the fair. These need to be checked more often. Also, not enough and not prominently positioned hand sanitizers in the dining areas - no hand-washing sinks. Staff did not correct people who were eating while in line at the buffet. I realize they don't wish to be rude, but that's disgusting and unsanitary.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was clean looking, but my wife did a cleaning job of the cabin before we got unpacked and thought it to be only clean appearing, but not really clean. She picked up a lot of dirt while cleaning horizontal surfaces (desk, nightstands, table, sink area) with disinfecting wipes. Plenty of closet space and plenty of hangars.
Ship tip
Carnival Glory 4-night Bahamas (Nassau, Princess Cay) cruise was good for what it was - a budget cruise. Unfortunately, the fact that it was a budget cruise was its greatest downfall. There were just a few problems (most listed above), but the largest problem I had was with the other guests on the ship. Most were fine, but some behaved badly, and no one seemed to care. I saw several people smoking and passing joints on the outside decks at night. People hanging out in and making noise in the hallways all night long. Bands of unsupervised teenagers roaming the ships at night. People not respecting the quiet area of the Serenity deck and talking loudly on their speakerphone or playing music without using a personal headset. Rude people with no elevator etiquette would rush on before allowing others off. Also people would get on elevators that opened near them as they arrived to elevator area without allowing those who called the elevator and had been waiting to board first. Then they'd go a floor or two and get off - come on!
Stayed on the ship. Relaxed by the pool. Enjoyed a lunch with no lines. Did some laundry because we had Disney park days scheduled before and after the cruise.
Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Have been on the Glory several times and love it. It is too bad that there were rude people on your cruise. Unfortunately, there is always someone.
