Review summary

I had a wonderful time with my husband and some staff. Loved seeing the Bahamas, and would love to see other countries. I wish I was able to eat more food, but lines too long. I can’t stand in one place too long, or my feet and legs want to collapse on me. I went hungry sometimes because of that. Carnival ships needs more food places and choices, with seasonings on the food. Devices to detect when someone urinates in the pools or hot tubs, to change colors. This will stop people from doing it. Get rid of sewer smells on the cabin floors, and make it more affordable for some people to travel. The drink packages are too expensive, and have it where a passenger can buy it on their own without causing everyone in cabin to get it. I wanted to have the drink package, but my husband didn’t want it. This screwed me out of getting any drink packages. I want to try carnival again, but some things need to change. Thanks.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Sit down dining room was a great experience, but the brisket was chewy and hard to chew. The food needs more seasoning on the whole ship. Waiter in dining room was very nice. I barely ate at the other places, because the lines were too long. I only gained one pound from whole cruise , so I went without food because of the lines. Iguana breakfast made me sick on debarkation day. Need chefs that make food taste good, need seasonings on the food. Not spicy, just good seasonings. I cook better than them, and I’m a nurse not a chef! Apparently this is a problem on all carnival ships. Please fix the food problems, and the menus need to have more good choices. Food places need to be opened more often, because every time I wanted to eat something, several places were closed.

Onboard Activities

We didn’t utilize the pools or fitness center. My husband said the pools were too crowded and people urinate in them. One person had emesis in the pool. Solution= A solution that shows a color when people urinate in the water, so others can be aware and get out quickly.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I really enjoyed the shows, and Cam was a good director. It would be nice to have more live performances, and less trivia. Bingo was fun, and I liked the comedy shows.

Service and Staff

Our room steward Nyoman, was awesome. He had fresh towels and clean room everyday, loved the towel animals. Our dining waiter was nice and efficient, he gave me other food I asked for when I couldn’t eat the one I ordered. He knew my name by heart. The girls near where trivia and violin people performed by elevators not so nice, laughed at my 80’s outfit and made me feel uncomfortable. I think they gave out spa pamphlets. I was only dressed for the 80’s rock light n glow party. The same girls was asked for directions a different day, and was rude to me, gave me an attitude giving directions. The 4 stars was only for my room steward and dining waiter.

Ship Quality

I liked my room, but it was hard to find where everything was located everywhere else on the ship. Elevators did not go to certain areas. We used the stairs a lot. Some floors had a sewer smell. I liked the designs of the different bars and areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I liked my cabin, the bed was very comfortable with an extra blanket on it. The pillows were so soft and we slept really good. It was very cold in the cabin and couldn’t turn it up to make a little warmer. The balcony was ok, my husband liked it and went out there a lot. It was too hot for me to sit outside. The shower was too small and water went outside a lot. I liked all the shelves and closet space in the room. I like the new electrical plug ins, and the usb outlets on the bedside lamps. The safe took a lot of tries to open or close with the card. They need new safes, they’re old. All around good cabin experience.

Ship tip

Relax, enjoy, make sure to see all the events, bring your own seasonings for your food. Get in line 30 minutes before food places open. Bring hanging magnets, zofran or patches for nausea cuz the ship rocks a lot. Go to ports and get off for the beautiful beaches, especially the first port of call. The second got cancelled and you might not have another chance.

Ports of call

We left from this port, no excursion

Nassau, Bahamas

Nice, but drinks are expensive in the 20-30’s. We went to margaritaville, and tubed in lazy river. The beach water was beautiful and had a swim.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

The captain said the water was too rough, for us to go on the little boats to get to the island.

The lines moved fast, but my suitcase was damaged when I received it in port canaveral.

Appreciate your feedback. You can eat in the dining room for lunch, breakfast or brunch to avoid lines. This information is on your HUB. We find we do better buying each adult beverage as desired, because we don’t drink the “drink package” daily cost (especially on a port day). Glad you had some fun even if you were unhappy with many things. Be sure to send your review to Carnival, as the cruise lines do NOT see them here.
