Review summary

Our overall cruise was enjoyable. Jake the cruise director was funny and very entertaining. The ship is very easy to navigate. On the downside was the food. The lido buffet food didn't look very appealing. The Deli, Smokehouse, Seafood Shack food was mediocre at best. The best meals were in the MDR. The Lobster, Sea Bass and steak were excellent. It's dark and can be chilly in the Lido Buffet if you're in there at night.

Food and Dining

The best meals we had were in the MDR at dinner. We had sea day brunch in the MDR once. Meal wasn't as good as in the past. Didn't care for the selections in the buffet for lunch or dinner. The deli was better on other Carnival ships.

Onboard Activities

Enjoyed the many trivia contest each day.

Entertainment

The comedians were funny, especially Just June. Loved her act playing Moms Mabley. She sounded just like the legendary comedian.

Our room steward George did an excellent job cleaning our cabin each day.

Ship Quality

Despite the ship's age , it was well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was comfortable, but the 2 beds would come apart while sleeping.

Ship tip

Even though we sail in warm weather, the ship is cold in certain areas. Mainly in the buffet and lounge areas.

We did a last minute Carnival excursion , a sight seeing tour. We traveled to the West and East End's. Enjoyed a couple hours on the beach. Candy was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and you could feel the love she has for her Country. The only drawback was the size of the bus. The sitting was tight.

Cozumel, Mexico

We did a Carnival excursion , The Tabasco Cooking Experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the class. Louis is a pure showman.
