Review summary

Solo Birthday cruise! Enjoyed myself! And looking forward to the next. These cruises give me a glimpse and tease of where I want to travel for a longer vacation stay at a resort! ❤️

Embarkation

Not as efficient and streamlined as Miami. But still I was on the ship in about 30 minutes after entering the terminal. This terminal reminds of Orlando. Once inside past security, you sit and wait for your zone to be called. In Miami, no sitting or waiting.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana are my go to. Never go wrong. I’m not a fan of buffet so I only went once to get mashed potatoes and they were good (after adding a little salt and pepper to taste)

Emerald Room Steakhouse

Enjoyed a free bottle of wine and had dinner here for my birthday! The lobster was great and the mashed potatoes were very good.

BlueIguana Cantina

Love the breakfast burritos! I get them with no meat, and add extra toppings (like cheese, onions etc)

Guy's Burger Joint

Always good! Lines can get pretty long, but I usually just walk around and go back later. On one occasion the fries did feel a little undercooked, but it was a sea day and maybe the food was “rushed” to be put out with the large crowd

Onboard Activities

Lots of great shows and events. Nothing I didn’t like here. Nice place to sit and relax for a bit.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows, singers and DJ’s were entertaining. The fun squad kept it fun, but most importantly the cruise director was Awesome! Cookie!!!! I think his usual ship is Horizon - but so glad he was on the Glory this week! He kept everything fun and I absolutely love how he was all about keeping it fun, enjoying your vacation and enjoying yourself! Loved 🥰

Service and Staff

Staff and service was always good. No complaints at all.

Ship Quality

This is the 3rd cruise on this class of ship I have now sailed on! (Freedom Conquest Glory) The layout is easy and since my first cruise was on Freedom, it feels like “home”. I like the size of these ships even though they are of the older ships. I am booked on Celebration in May so it will be a nice comparison to determine which I prefer. Mostly though, cruising for me is about the destination ports.

Ship tip

Just enjoy your cruise. Yes it’s an older ship, but you’re on vacation. Enjoy your vacation and don’t worry or judge anybody else about what they do on their vacation. Go to the ports and enjoy yourself.

Very friendly people! Planning to go back on a vacation that is not a cruise! These ports give a glimpse and just a taste of what can be enjoyed on a longer vacation.

Disembarkation

Still on board on my last sea day. I’m sure it will be fine per usual. I’m going to carry my own luggage. I don’t want to leave the ship so not much good or bad can be said on getting off the ship. Lol
