Review summary

We had a blast! It was our first post pandemic cruise

Embarkation

Everything went really smoothly. We downloaded the VeriFLY app to speed up the health check. Parking at the Fulton St. garage saves a lot of money, and the shuttle is pretty quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Love being able to check in on the HUB app, but I did miss the paper menus a little. The deli and other Lido restaurants seemed to have weird hours due to staffing. Brunch and breakfast in the MDR were really good! We did Your Time Dining - so nice to have a private table. We had the same server team for 3 of the nights, Ethel and her team were amazing!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were good and the slides. There were plenty of chairs around the decks to lay out on.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The DJ was really fun and engaging. The shows were just ok. Not their best crew rotation for some of the singing styles. The blond girl was fantastic on Epic a rock night, but some of the others were for sure - not.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My daughter went to camp ocean every day. She liked that it wasn’t as crowded without the toddler class. They have definitely improved the camp scheduling on the app.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff were great!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was clean, but could definitely use some updates. I like the Lido dining being split up instead of one big area like the fantasy class.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Room was clean. Loved that there was a bigger overhang above the balcony than on lower decks. It really helped with the rainy days. The only negative would be that the stool at the desk had the bottom lining hanging off and the trash can kept getting stuck.

Ship tip

When the HUB app says “less than 10 minutes” they really mean “20-30”

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
This is a tender port, which is definitely not my favorite. But, there is a lot of shopping in port, and we were able to take a cab to Coral beach for the day. It was $15 for a chair and umbrella, and there was an option to buy food and drinks.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

3 out of 5
Definitely do an excursion! We did the jungle river tubing and had a blast, but there is nothing in the port except for a few huts with handmade gifts.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Disembarkation

Meh. It’s always a bit of a mess trying to get off the boat - most of that was due to other passengers being dumb.
