Review summary

I enjoyed the cruise. For a family or just a getaway it's a great option. Go with an open mind and be flexible.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embankment was very easy. The only new thing was with I had to go to customer service at add cash to my account after the initial check in. It was very smooth. I recommend getting to the port only 30 -45 minutes early. They will not let you check in before you call time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room servers were excellent! The food was average to good except the prime rib and filet. They were both excellent. I was a little let down by the buffet but they made up for it with the deli counter and the burgers. The new feature to order Pizza to your location on the app is soooo nice. For only $5 they will deliver to your deck chair from the HUB app. Coffee in the buffet areas was quite strong. I like the coffee counter instead(extra or with Cheers). Room service was always quick and hot. The peach sangria was excellent at the Serenity bar.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I recommend the piano bar and trivia events. They were so much fun.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Comedy acts were great. Love and marriage show a must. It's different every time because the participants change. The cruise director did a great job making it fun. The shows were some weird combination of music and random costumes. Totally my opinion but we left 10 minutes in. However there was so much going on other than this it was not an issue.

Children's Programs

I did not bring my children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was so nice. Most spoke to you by name even after your time with them.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It took a little while to get the layout down. The galley kept getting in my way of direct travel. All common areas were clean and well maintained. Someone was constantly picking up empty glasses and cleaning table tops.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very roomy for 2 people. There is a nice size couch and coffee table. I was surprised at how much closet space we had. Two hanging closets, a closet with 4-5 shelves and vanity space drawers. The one complaint I have is about the pillowcases. They have been washed quite a bit and were very bumpy. Next time I will bring my own.

Ship tip

bring a outlet extender and a travel mug.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana Did not visit port

We drove in the day of the cruise only to board.

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

We stayed on the ship and enjoyed the less crowded pools, bar and food areas.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
I think there should be a more organized way to disembark. People were cutting lines coming from upper floors and it was a bit confusing. However once everything got moving it did go smoothly.
