Review summary
Sailed with another couple in the 50s and all four of us had a wonderful time. Weather, entertainment, cabin were perfect. Service was excellent in both the cabin and at meals. We did "My Time Dining" and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table for 4 despite dining at prime time around 7:00 - 8:00 each evening. We've done three cruises already this year and over 20 in the last 10 years on 6 different cruise lines, so am rating this cruise and ship relative to the others. Pros: Entertainment was excellent in both the comedy club and the main theater. The cabin was roomier than most other cruises in the same class although the balcony was slightly smaller. Food in the main dining room was comparable to the other cruises, as was the dining service (very good, but not excellent). Really liked the new burger shop and taco bar! Both were high quality and fun dining on the pool deck. Cons: Most expensive beer of any cruise we've had. The price per beer was similar, but the discounts/specials were minimal. Other cruise lines offer "Buy 4--get 1 Free" or "Buy 1--Get 1 for $1" at happy hour. The best special was "Buy 4 get $2 off bucket" which was only about 10% savings. Other alcohol was similar price but not more than $1 off on specials. Not too much to see in Halifax, but we didn't take the cruise because of the ports.Ship experiences
