First Time on Carnival

Sail Date: September 17, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship was hard to navigate thru - the eating areas and other amenities were not clearly marked so getting thru to different floors was difficult. The Captain did not do a good job letting us know where we were on saling days. The staff seemed alouf and no attentive unless asked. The staff was not knowledgeable about the ship in general, where things were located or why things were done the way they were. General lack of service.

Pros: Food in the buffet was great! Better than other ship lines.

Cons: Overall - staff was not attentive and did not seem to know the ins and outs of the ship

Recommends Carnival Glory? No.

Service and Staff
We had no staff experience that was above and beyond. Mediocre at best.
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The quality of the food even on the buffet was excellent and we were impressed with the menu variety.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was larger than on previous cruise lines.
The comedy show was good and we also were entertained by a mentalist in the steakhouse, which we found amazing.
Portland, Maine
The lobster fishermen was the most interesting.
Saint John, New Brunswick
Again, we hired our own taxi driver and saw it all. The Bay of Fundy is amazing and we were fortunate to see low and high tides.
Boston, Massachusetts
We used the hop on hop off and that also included a boat tour. We did the freedom walk also.
Halifax, Nova Scotia
We hired our own taxi and spent the entire day with him - it was wonderful!! We saw the town, the shoreline, ate lobster and saw the Titanic cementery.
Don't Miss: Lobster on the beach - it was great!
