Review summary

Rooms are very comfortable but can have some hallway noise. Food is overall pretty good and the folks we met along the way were really nice and I can see the appeal of cruising being similar to my past all inclusive resort experiences which is why we'd like to go again.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was smooth and everyone was very friendly to help you navigate where to go especially since it was our first time ever going through the process. Since you can't go to your rooms right away the majority of the ship congregates in the same areas and it can feel overwhelming and crowded for the first 1-2 hours but its easy to get some food and have a drink to pass the time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dining rooms were nice to go to if you want a longer sit down experience. Buffets had a good selection for each meal regardless of time of day. Some of the food was a little inconsistent for example sometimes the sponge cake desserts were very good and others were not edible in our opinion by lacking flavor and proper texture. Food was overall good and fresh without anything ever seeming past its prime with lots of options to appeal to most tastes.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We mostly walked by different shows while they were going on and they were usually pretty fun. The DJ was really good whenever we heard them going and the on board activity leader having other cruisers dancing on the dock around All Aboard with good music playing was really something we're glad we experienced at least once.

Children's Programs

No children in our party. Although as all adults we are thankful there are other places for kids to go.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff really have it dialed in here and often go above and beyond to provide a seamless experience. We did the Behind the Fun tour and learning of all the programs and incentives available to them was really nice to see given how long their contracts are.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout was pretty easy to learn and ship was consistently clean including bathrooms that saw a lot of traffic around the pool decks and buffet.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We were very surprised by how large our room was with a king bed and sleeper sofa. Had 3 closets to hang all our clothes and several drawers for other items. Our large checked luggage easily fit into the bottom of one of the closets so it could be tucked away the entire time until it was time to leave. Shower was easy to use and there was plenty of space for our toiletries and we never had any issues with items falling over in rough seas. Only drawback was that almost every night at some point a very loud group would come down the hallway and it would wake us up even though ear plugs and I am not sure if a different room would have provided any relief there is really no way to report or prevent it since it happens to quickly and the damage is done.

Ship tip

If you have checked luggage it's worth bringing the bottle of wine to share. It was really cute how the ship was decorated for Halloween and how many cruisers decorated their doors using magnets and decor. Many of the cruise packing lists online said to bring magnets but I missed finding out the why and to would love to decorate with a theme next time.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Nassau, Bahamas

Very dense and busy and unless you do an excursion it's sort of hard to get off the main drag but they know how to handle the crowds and it was easy to navigate once you got your bearings. The manual Jeep excursion was great and a perfect way to see just about everything in a short amount of time and if you ever go back you'll have a good idea of what spots you would want to go back and spend more time in.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Lovely location but get there early (pre-10a) and lunch was pretty limited options and the line was long so we went back to the boat for a late lunch.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
By far our favorite place to stop off because of the lunch stop and tour of the island. This place was far more our pace with Bed & Breakfasts and more local feeling eateries and experiences such as small roadside stands and in addition to the touristy chain shops like Ron Jons.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was pretty smooth and quick. It was a little confusion as we go to the lobby early and went to sit in the theatre until our assigned window and when asked why were were there the staff told us we could just go. it was still very early and not busy but had we known we could leave the boat when we arrived in the lobby it would probably be better for everyone to speed things up. If there was a note saying if you arrive to the lobby early please ask a staff member if you can proceed with early debarkation instead of being instructed to not even enter the lobby until your assigned time. We did early and self debarkation which I think it why they let us head out on our own.
