Overall, cruise was fun, however, definitely need to improve the food situation.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Showed up at around 10:45, checked in and pretty much walked straight on. Only issue was the information provided at the check in counter about dropping our luggage in our stateroom. We are platinum and are allowed to take our bags to our room as soon as we board, however the lady at the checkin counter insisted that we had to leave our bags in the hallway. Readers digest version, employees need to know the company policies.

Food and Dining

I’ll start by saying that the staff was great. Buffet for all meals was one of the worst I have had in my 30 cruises. Food was cold, a lot of times over cooked, tough, and lack flavor. The MDR on formal night was a failure. I ordered prime rib and a baked potato. The potato was cold and hard and the prime rib was like chewing on a piece of jerky with less flavor. Carnival deserts with the exception of the cookies and ice cream are bad. Sea day brunch was a fail, almost everything was overcooked, served slow and cold.
On a positive note, almost everything we paid for (sushi, seafood, shack, steakhouse)was good, cooked well.
Onboard Activities

Spent a lot of time in the casino, had a good time. Other activities were a bit crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

Great room, large interior room class on the front of the ship with a window and a very large shower. Would recommend.
People have to remember Carn is ‘the fun ship,’ not the food ship. I went in with low expectations so I didn't get too disappointed. With the exceptions of the steakhouse, seafood shack & pizza, everything else was hit & miss🤷🏻♀️And yes debark was a hot mess on our ship as well💯
