Review summary

I will not be cruising again this experience has me very afraid. I will not be cruising with any Carnival ships!ever.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
A very long walk to embarkation. The agents did their best to keep everyone in line but it was very crowded.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
I did not personally enjoy the food, the toast was always cold, the eggs were always too wet the breakfast sausages were okay. The hamburger line was ridiculously long and it was just one person making hamburgers for a ton of people.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
The pool was fine the second day but after the lightning hit and set the ship on fire I didn’t want to do anything but get off!!

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Couldn’t have a good time after Saturday afternoon when the fire happened. I just couldn’t enjoy myself enough to go see any shows on board,

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The wait staff was fine.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was cleaned up continuously.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
I should have selected a better cabin. It was fault but I hated the cabin we were in!

Ship tip

I will not be sailing on Carnival Freedom. How Dare they put people’s lives in DANGER knowing the ship caught fire prior! I am not satisfied with that and I should receive compensation for not being able to enjoy my time After that &$@! FIRE!!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
The Port was fine,

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Yes and it was a relief to get off the ship!

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

1 out of 5
Did not visit because of the FIRE!!!!! It was very scary and we should have been headed back to Orlando after that incident.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Tiresome and very discouraging,

I can understand. We were supposed to be on the ship right after the first fire, but with how they handled the first one, I don't have a problem with cruising with them. It is a little disappointing they didn't increase the water pressure to ensure they could spray from the deck. Can you say which cabin you were assigned and what issues you had with it?

Please explain how them putting out a fire created by Mother Nature, protecting guests, and not allowing the fire to spread to the remainder of the ship is a bad thing. The Carnival employees did their job, and did it well. You and everyother guest returned to port without harm. Great Job Carnival! 🛳️

Your review is somewhat ridiculous as carnival absolutely cannot control the weather. The 1st fire was taken care and all had been fixed. Lightning the ship this time... what did carnival have to do with that? The funnel doesn't operate the ship. There was no need to turn it around

Sounds like cruising is no longer what you want to experience since lightning happened on the previous cruise. I guess flying would be scary to. So, a staycation might be the best option in your future.🙂

Can happen on any cruise line.
