Review summary

This was my 7th cruise and I have to admit my most eventful. The rough weather surely something we cannot control but the fact remains it was of concern that the onboard hoses were not able to reach the fire in the tail of the ship. Thankfully the fast thinking of the captain to drive the ship into a rainstorm to help extinguish the flames worked out positively.

My room was not thoroughly cleaned upon arrival, the ships tail was struck by lightening and caught fire at roughly 1400 hrs which closed down the lido deck until the next morning. Dining options were limited to room service or the main dining room which was only available between certain hours. We were rerouted due in part to inclement weather so we did not visit Princess Cays.

The ship did and mazing job at entertaining and keeping the human minds busy to reroute their thoughts on to entertainment. Although the weather did alter some plans the trip was not a total disappointment.

Wait staff was very helpful and available when needed. Impressed with room service and their speedy delivery.

The ship overall was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cleanliness of the room could have been better. The mattresses were pushed together to make one bed and that was rough as the mattresses kept separating. Comfort and size were acceptable.

Ship tip

If you have concerns voice your concern do not take to social media. Give the folks a chance to change or remedy the issue. Try being part of a solution not adding to the problem.

We were directed to be in the area at 7 am but were not released from the boat until 9 that was a very long time to await a departure.

Nice to see a review that does not blame Carnival for a lightning strike. Also very nice to hear that you had a good time even with the problem on board and that you appreciated the staff.
