We cruised recently, and the app is free. You pay $5 to use the chat service, etc.

Actually the app was always $5. Used it many times before Covid and it was $5. I can’t say what has gone down, because haven’t been since Covid, but my kids have and they said the food has gone down, even in the steakhouse so we are checking it out for ourselves in 2024. Sorry you had a bad experience.

We did not have to pay for the hub app. It is a good tool to keep up with what is going on, for reservations, checking my account, etc. Some things have changed from years past, however, we still managed to have a wonderful cruise last week.

All cruise lines have had cutbacks. You do not have to pay for the HUB app unless you want to chat with others onboard.

The hub is free. The chat feature costs $5 for the entire cruise.
