Overall, we had a nice time on this cruise. This was our first Caribbean cruise (we've cruised to Asia, Europe and the Mediterranean) and we decided to join some friends for a short trip, just to get away for a bit. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed the time we spent on the ship and on the islands. It made for a pleasant preview and maybe we'll visit more of the Caribbean in the future.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Fairly quick! We didn't wait too long before our group was called.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Unexpectedly good! Staff were constantly wiping down surfaces on the whole ship. In the main dining room, the service was very good and accommodating. Seating was pretty well organized. Entree selections were varied and, in general, well executed. The buffet was well done every day, although the lines could be long. Breakfast omelets and buffet was very good. Guy Fiere's fries were delicious, and I wish I had had more of the soft serve chocolate ice cream!!
Onboard Activities

walked on the upper deck track
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Stage shows were entertaining - we have to give the entertainers and dancers a lot of credit for performing so energetically!! Mr. Love was an amusing director of all the entertainment onboard. Enjoyed the movie we saw one evening.
Children's Programs
we didn't travel with any kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was so accommodating and pleasant. Our room steward Lloyd was always asking us if there was anything we needed, and we really appreciated his services.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship seems outdated as far as it was decorated, but common areas were clean and well-maintained. The bathroom in our cabin was well designed and we were able to move about it better than we had done on other cruise lines. The elevators were a bit narrow to get onto though.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was good enough in size (could have been a little bit bigger) and it was cleaned well.
Ship tip
We could see how hard the staff worked on the whole ship. These days, it seems like a rare thing, unfortunately.
We drove into the port from another part of Florida, but on previous visits to the area, there's a good amount of things to do here as it's not too far from Orlando. Kennedy Space Center, the wildlife refuge and beaches are pretty close by.
