This cruise experience was good because of the small number of guest on board. I know we will not get to enjoy this again when the covid protocols are fully lifted.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was quick and easy
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was not that great and the selection was not that great. The breakfast food on the buffet was cold especially the grits. The burgers at Guys were great.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The activities were not that interesting. Made the days at sea very boring.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Enjoyed the comedy shows and the violinists performing in the lobby.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service was great. Our room steward Iwan made sure we had clean towels without asking. When he noticed the soap was low he replaced without us asking. The ladies serving our table in the main dining room were great. Elizabeth was very pleasant and willing to share some insight about her culture. It was really great learning from her. Her two assistance Kamei and Luh was very attentive.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
It was great to see staff continually cleaning considering we were still under the covid protocols.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was clean and the size was comfortable. The bed was very uncomfortable because they mattresses kept pulling apart. Not sure what method the Victory used but the mattresses on that cruise stayed in place much better. This was a first with the Victory because on all of the other cruises we have taken with Carnival the mattresses pulled apart.
The beach area was great and it was good you could enjoy it without paying for an excursion. However, not much to see on this Island. We were very disappointed because based on what we saw about Turks and Caicos we were expecting a more developed area. However, the guide on our excursion explained what makes up the different Islands of Turks and Caicos and which one was considered the most developed.
Has we know that carrying your own luggage off the ship wasn't express we would have selected to have it carried off by staff. On the Victory carrying your own luggage off the ship was considered express and we were able to get off first. On the Freedom they called us by muster stations and it was no quicker. We drove down and was hoping to get off so we could start our 12 hours back home.
