Review summary

Overall enjoyed the cruise. Met great new friends. Some staff are not at all interested in passengers enjoyment and seem to just come to work to get paid. If you inform anyone of a poor experience your input is dismissed.

Joana in Guest Services was angry and unaccommodating. I explained that I was a first time sailer and she made no effort to explain how things would run eg like my assigned dining etc. I had to learn from other passengers.

Had erroneously chosen the bubbles package which was non alcoholic and was not allowed to change to the package with alcohol, over new years eve no less...

Had several great massages from Petunia. Lula, a workout instructor, made fun of me in the exercise class instead of praising all of us for being there.

Generally ok. I was 5 mins late for dinner one night as the time they were going by was no longer central and they refused to let me dine as tough we were on land & I had lots of other choices. Plus above experiences with staff. Generally staff need to more pleasant & customer focused.

Sorry to hear that your first cruise didn’t meet your expectations! Hope you give it another try. Sailing over a holiday can be more stressful for the crew as some of them have been denied their vacation time as they had expected. Now you know a few pitfalls to avoid. Glad you found fellow passengers happy to help you out!🛳
