Review summary

The two main things I was disappointed in was our room locations and the fact that we were not all assigned to the same dinner table. When we boarded, we quickly realized that we were spread all over the place. When we initially booked, we were told that the ship was pretty full, but that only one person would be located on the 2nd floor and that the rest of us would be close together. That was not the case. We were only close to one other couple. We also quickly realized that we were not at the same dinner table. The whole reason we went though a travel person was so that it would be easier for us to be placed together. I sent over an hour going through customer service and then the dinner lead to see if we could be sat at the same table. The overall experience of the cruise was great, but the initial few hours weren't good for those that this was their first cruise experience.

Sorry about your room issues. I always find my own rooms (family of 6 so we have to have two rooms) then call my Carnival booking agent. She helps keep us updated on pricing so I go through her to book. I contact her once a month to check our pricing and if it drops, she automatically refunds for us. I spend lots of time picking the exact rooms I want on their website. I guess since we book our rooms together they always seat us together.

How did you book your cruises? Usually, you can link all the people in your party for dining purposes, if you book through Carnival or the same travel agent. As mentioned, for next time go to the Maitre’d on the first night to see if they can seat you together.

As far as cabin location why didn't you confirm before your trip? Check deck plans, etc.?

Tables are not assigned before boarding you only put your preference down for table size and time ...therefore Normally on the first night if you see the Matrde they will try to do there best to seat a group together ..also if you attend the MDR at the same time each night and ask the the same table and wait staff that you had the previous night it's easier for them to allocate the same .. however if you go at a different times each evening it's impossible for them to do this keep that in mind next time you go as a group !!!
