Review summary

Overall, 8/10. Our room, room steward, waitstaff and all personnel we met with were very good to great. No complaints at all with the staff. Kitchen needs to improve their food temperature and overall quality back to previous standards. TJ, the cruise director, is great! Very fun, super cute and personal! Huge shoutout to JoJo in Club O2! She’s a gem! Really kind, very much gets kids and makes the effort to both know the kids and their families. Orpha, our room steward (1372) is also a total gem! Made sure to personally greet us each time she saw us! She has approximately 50 rooms to clean and new people each week but never failed to acknowledge us by name!

Staff is EXCELLENT! But the kitchen cannot seem to send up a single HOT food plate from the regular menu. After the first not my husband never, and I am serious, ever had a HOT meal. It was tepid, warm at the edges but not in the center. My food, specially prepared because of dietary issues was hot, delicious and timely. Even my kids dinners (regular menu, no chicken nuggets) were tepid. Soups that were supposed to be hot were warm. That’s it. The kitchen is risking a illness outbreak by serving food below 140° F. This needs to be rectified!

JoJo is truly one of the best directors we’ve met over our teenagers years of cruising. She’s incredibly personable, really makes the effort to know the kids and their families. A GEM!

We finally visited Mahogany Bay resort (all other times we’ve gone out and done things on the island). What an absolutely relaxing, perfect place. We paid the $120 for four person to have an exclusive beach bed, gated area type visit. We had our own wait staff, showers, free use of the chair lift, and minimal attendance in our area. At the busiest, there were 25 people inside the gate. Protected swimming area abounds with Conch, mini fish and bigger (Lionfish) under the pier. Directly under the chair lift area but with trees and a gorgeous view of the ship dock. Highly recommend spending the $$ for the serenity and cleanliness! Definitely get the jerk chicken plate. It fed ALL 4 of us!

Spent the day onshore at the Wet Lizard Bar & Restaurant (upstairs). It rained almost the whole day but we were dry, well fed and had awesome drinks! The frozen CocoMojito was SO AWESOME! Great WiFi for the kids to knockout schoolwork online was our whole purpose that day. I had the grilled Conch plate, which was also very tasty.

Spent the day on the pier at Señorita Margaritas, for the WiFi. The music was a touch loud but the food and drinks were good. The toilet attendant was hit or miss but the bathroom seems fairly clean.

Cluster-foxtrot. If you’re self-disembarking, and they call your floor, that should be the ONLY floor allowed to disembark. Instead, when our floor (1) was called, there were people clogging every stairway from 6,8,9 &10th floors! How is this permissible? By not having personnel verify which floor you are from. It becomes a complete free-for-all. Our family got separated by aggressive adults lugging baggage in front of them (my kids were too polite to say anything). I spoke up and moved us forward to my spouse, after the 3rd person cut us off. I get it; we all want off and to be on our way but damn, wait for your actual floor to be called, please!
