This is one cruise that I would not recommend. Not only the ship, but the staff needs a complete overhaul.

The food as compared to our last 5 carnival cruise was horrible . Food was cold and no taste. The buffet breakfasts weren't fit for human comsumption. No flavor or variety. I was extremely bummed .

Our maitre'd never showed his face and our waiter and bus boy weren't interested in our table cause we weren't beautiful babes.

I sailed the Freedom this past March with my wife and we had a great time. This was our second time on the Freedom we had no issues, the casino was very smoky and that was an easy fix. Just didn't go there when it was a lot of people. We're scheduled to go on the Freedom in 2020, but we're trying the Vista this March. Kinda worried since it's a much bigger ship than the Freedom. Some people post about her are not that good, but going with my wife our 41st anniversary. We celebrated the last 3 on Carnival and enjoyed them all (Magic, Dream and Freedom).

I sailed the ship in April. My experience was different. No service because you weren't babes? That's different. We aren't either., but our head waiter and his staff were excellent to us. I like the dining room for breakfast. I try to stay away from the buffet but do hit it a few times for breakfast on port days. I thought it was edible. There seemed to be a wide variety. Did you get to breakfast late? I usually eat by 7 -730 and only thing cold what was supposed to be. FYI Freedom goes into drydock in April.
