Review summary

This ship is old. You were able to hear every move someone made. They were always repairing something on the ship. Food in the lido deck seem to always be closed so early. Some of the staff seem to have the I am worked too much attitude. My kids love the pizza but they were very slow and did t seem to like when you asked for more than 2 slices. However Ms. Emma energy was awesome. She kept the fun going. I have no idea how she had that much energy but her smile and joy made the trip fun and enjoyable.

My wife and I was on the Freedom last month and in March. The ship was great and so was the staff, we also have sailed on the Magic and the Dream. The Freedom was smaller, but we still had a great time. As some have said a cruise ship is a City at sea and a busy and crowded one. I was with my oldest friend and sweetheart celebrating our 40 years together so nothing could spoil that. You're with people who are relaxing and having a good time, enjoy that and don't worry about the people who are trying to keep you safe like the maintenance crew. Happy cruising, 219 days before we're on the Vista with my 3 kids and 9 grand kids, now that's going to be an adventure and an amazing 7 days.

We're going on the Freedom January, 2020, because we want to do the Panama Canal Partial Transit. It's 2 weeks long and we'll go to several ports we haven't seen. After our November cruise, this one will still feel so far off.

Freedom is gonna be dry dock next year, excited to see what that will bring!

I absolutely love this ship and been on it 3 times and going on the Freedom again the end of next month. Yes the decor is old, but I am sure you knew that before you went on if you did any research at all. The staff on this ship has far exceeded my expectations, way better staff experience on this ship than the other ships been on. A cruise is what you make of it. Go on a fancy ship if this is what you are expecting. We are just cruising to get away from everything a destress!

I always read up on each ship before booking. Triumph is a smaller older boat, it's usually cheaper too. It is slotted to be dry docked in 2019, which is a big hint. Lol

We just got off the Freedom this last February and had a great time. They are always doing some painting somewhere and repairs on all ships. I have to assume that the noise problem was due to the location of your stateroom. If you are below the Lido deck or the galley, the noise can bothersome

I have been on her twice now and will be on her again next June. You need to understand, a cruise ship is a floating city in every sense, and a logistical engineering marvel. As such, there is constant maintenance occurring, most of which you will never see. I for one love the opportunity to see a maintenance worker, as they are crucial to the life safety systems aboard, but receive little to no recognition.

I agree 100% Summerholiday. people take cruises and come back fusing about things they could have known before they booked... We loved the Freedom, and very other ship we’ve cruised on, we simply knew what to expect and didn’t get surprised by reality...

Did u not do your homework before you booked it if you want a newer ship then book a newer one ...
