We traveled with two other couples and overall we had a great time. We did some things together and some things as couples and we also did things apart and there was something for all of us. We did eat most of our meals together. This was my first time dining with the anytime dining and I think next time I would go back to a selected dining time. The anytime dining was fine if you went right when they opened the doors; if you came later you were given a beeper and had to wait until a table opened up.

We arrived early for our check-in and had a small wait before going and processing our boarding passes. Once we went through processing we were directed straight through and onto the ship. It was faster than last time we went on a cruise, and we did not have the FTTF.

We ate mainly in the Chic restaurant with the your time dining. The food was great and when we had Martin, Anton, & Dedi the service was on point. There was only one evening that we were not seated at their tables and that evening The wait staff never introduced themselves and we felt like we were the forgotten table. When we did finally get our order the food was cold. The next day we we came back on board after our excursion we found an apology from the dining room in our cabin and we had not even made a complaint.
Onboard Activities

If your a pool person be prepared to find them full to overflowing. It was the one activity I did not even attempt to try as it was too crowded, but it did not keep me from having fun. I enjoyed going to the games and trivia contests and seeing the different shows. I also enjoyed the different musical groups playing in the atrium. I did not go to the casino as i don't gamble.

Everyone was always friendly and had a smile and if you needed help they stopped what they were doing to answer your question. Our steward Leo took great care of our room and got us anything we wanted...towels, robes and asked our preferences for cleaning and evening turn-down...mints like last time but things change.

Ship tip
The inside cabin that we stayed in was warm. You may want to bring a fan to help cool the room. My friends who stayed at the opposite end of deck 2 said that their room was almost too cold.
We went to Bacab Eco Park horseback riding. The guide on bus ride to the park was very informative. The ride was pretty long. Once you get out of the city the countryside is pretty to look at. the city is pretty much like any city some areas look nicer than others. Once at the park we had a short walk from the parking area to the pools and the buffet area. The bathrooms and changing area were nice and clean. The horseback ride was great for all levels of riding experience. I enjoyed each part of the excursion, but it did leave you with very little time to shop if that was something you would want to do.
The area by the terminal was very pretty and there was a lot to look at on the ride across the island to the Jolly Roger Catamaran Sailing & Snorkeling. My friends and I had a great time. The captain and crew were friendly and helpful. They were safety conscious but still allowed for a good time to be had by all. The time in the water could have been longer but have to keep things moving. they provide great food, drinks, & music. the whole group of us were dancing as we sailed back in at the end of our time. I would do this excursion again.
We always have a suite so we have priority boarding. Hope the Freedom is as good as the Valor was last year. Your review was right on. I like it when people say good things about their cruise.
