Overall I loved my cruise. With the exception of the Cayman Island and the disembarkation process, I had a fabulous time. This is my second cruise at the same ports and I learn something new each time that will improve upon my next visit. I had a wonderful time and plan to make to this a regular thing. I have encourage my family to go with me to make it a better experience. No one can do it all even in seven days so I see why people go to the same ports more than once. Carnival Cruise Lines has the best customer service ever. I never felt slighted or ignore by the staff on the cruise. There were nothing but smiles and they make you feel like family. I look forward to cruising again in 2020.
Embarkation

Embarkation was a pretty smooth process, however, it was long. I wish I had handy suggestions on how to speed it up, but it is what it is.

Food and Dining

The food was amazing. I have no complaints there. Our favorite was the breakfast with Cat In The Hat. I didn't expect the quality to be that great since it was an event for children, but I actually had to refuse the dessert because I was bursting at the seams.
Onboard Activities

I love the pools. My only suggestion is to not allow kids in the hot tubs. The pool was big enough to accommodate the kids. Hot tubs should be for adults only.

Service and Staff

Our steward Ramel was amazing. He knew everyone on the floor by name, wished me a Happy birthday. I prepaid my gratuities, but gave him extra because he took care of us.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was immaculate and they took extra precaution to add napkins behind the restroom door for germophobes like me who will wait for someone else to open the door so I don't have to touch it. Good job Carnival Freedom

Ship tip
Less clothes, more money, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and leave your cares at the door. Carnival Freedom is a great ship with plenty of superior customer service!
I didn't care for the Caymans, they are overpriced and the customer service is horrible. Beware, do not use their ATM machines. They only disperse Cayman money and you will incur a large fee from your bank. A 10 minute cab ride one way is $20 per adult and $8 per child. If you do the dolphin excursions you will pay over $300 plus you will be charged at least $35 per picture. You are forced to lock up your cameras and cell phones so they can overcharge you for pictures. Our cab driver Christine was wonderful. Only book your excursions through Carnival because the private companies do not include transportation unless it's a big group going or this is what I was lead to believe.
