We had a great time and are already looking forward to the next one. We got caught in a bad storm on the last day at sea . Even though the seas we harsh (20-29 feet is what I was told) we still had a good time
Embarkation
5 out of 5
They changed the process since or last cruise , it was much faster and we got on the ship quickly
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Everywhere I ate on the ship was great. The main dining room, The steak house were wonderful.
We even got to book the chef's table, and that was a once in a lifetime event.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
As usual the bubbling pools (not hot tubs) were always full (still managed to get in when we wanted to)
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows we saw were all first rate
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We got to know our room steward a little bit (tris from Bali) he is a nice man
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This was our 5th cruise on Carnival and the ships all seem to be laid out about the same, once you get used to going around the galley its just a matter of remembering front and back. The crew works hard the ship was always spotless.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was excellent, we usually get a balcony but as we have stopped smoking we figured we wouldn't be needing it. Just right for the two of us.
Ship tip
Get some dots from your Dr. before you depart. I tend to get seasick.
We always try to arrive the day before as its a long drive from Arkansas. We get a nice room where we can leave our car. We also always go to the Rainforest for dinner.
We did a VIP beach excursion here ( I don't remember the name of it) but they took wonderful care of us. We were feed great food and they kept the drinks cold and coming
My favorite place in the world to be. I love this port. We did "Casa del Playa" The staff was the best. From the time we meet up with them on the pier to the time we got back they were 100% awesome. The "beach house" was beautiful and comfortable, our section of private beach was was not only clean and well stocked with everything you might need or want on a beach. (don't forget to bring cash for tips, but if you do there is a hotel a five minute walk down the beach with an atm) The food the chef serves is incredible.
The process starts the night before, you new zone tags tell you about what time you can expect to get off the ship. the process was so well run we were on dry land a full hour before they expected us to be.
