Review summary

I am ready for another Cruise - I want that diamond card :) I will re-visit Cozumel, time and time again! Such a beautiful place and the water color there as well as Cayman was just amazing! I am already trying to plan for my next cruise! I want to take my entire family so they can also experience such an awesome adventure! Love Carnival so far :)

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I found everything to be excellent and way above standard.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I didn't partake in anything other than relaxation! I give high-five to our cruise director, Matey - he kept things rolling along, despite the liquid sunshine we endured for several days.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We experienced some of the best and friendliest staff ~ our steward, Benedicto was amazing and fast! He was on a first name basis immediately and was so very pleasant!!

Ship Quality

I have nothing to compare the Freedom to, this was my first cruise. I was in awwww over everything, I loved the location of our stateroom as well. I was concerned about the location prior to the cruise (10 forward), but now I am never going to want anything elsewhere. I will probably be a bit spoiled now that I have experienced a balcony room and such a perfect location!

Ship tip

Stay out of the casino!! :(

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

The only thing we did here was find parking and shuttle to the ship. When we disembarked, we caught the shuttle immediately and were at the parking lot in minutes. Very organized!

Montego Bay, Jamaica

The excursion that we went on through Carnival was to Secrets - Adult (all-inclusive) Resort. It was beautiful until the storm hit and didn't stop. We paid near $300 for the day and then the storm prevented us from enjoying the entire resort ~ we huddled under canopy/umbrellas trying to make the best of the situation and still consuming adult beverages but it really wasn't worth the expense. The jerk chicken was decent, considering the line we stood in while the rain poured on us. I don't think I lost anything in Jamaica that I need to re-visit and find. I'm sad over this too, I was so excited about Jamaica!! Just not what I expected :(

George Town, Grand Cayman

As in Jamaica, the rain also prevented us from total enjoyment of this port. George Town seemed to be a beautiful town and the islanders were so informative. We didn't plan any excursions here, due to weather and the prior day's experience. Once on the island, we enjoyed an excellent meal @ Cabana's - their onion rings..... TO DIE FOR! and lobster tail with beans/rice, broccoli and PLANTAIN - oh sooooo good! After a few drinks and learning about the island, we took the city bus and enjoyed 7-mile beach! It was beautiful, even on a cloudy day. I would love to visit Grand Cayman again and explore more on this island! I feel that we missed out on so much due to the weather. Hurricane season doesn't allow the best results for port days, our fault for picking the dates - always have to schedule around work and livelihood though.

Cozumel, Mexico

What a beautiful day we had in Cozumel!! LOVE LOVE LOVE Mr. Sancho's and the entire port! Plan to visit again soon and take my children! I want to see more of Cozumel but will have a hard time steering away from Mr. Sancho's! This is my new HaPpY PlAcE :) :) :)
