Review summary

We really enjoyed our cruise on the Carnival Freedom. I felt the money was well spent, and there was plenty to keep us entertained. We've always traveled Princess, and so we didn't know what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Although not quite as upscale in decor as a Princess ship, the ship and service still met our expectations, and contrary to what we heard, the food was quite good! Atmosphere was fun, and entertainment excellent. Overall, we would definitely take a carnival cruise again, especially because of the pricing compared to Princess.

Cabin was larger than cabins we've been in with Princess. Everything functioned well. Couch was a bit worn looking, and we found an orange behind the desk...also found dust bunny hanging from ceiling. so not quite as up on the detail cleaning like they should be. Rest of the ship felt very clean.
