Review summary

There are better choices for the money but Galveston is a convenient drive for us in Texas. Excursions were fun and well handled. Grand kids had a great time on their first cruise.

Ship tip

Pool is very small and people are wall to wall. Adult pool nice but also small. Not real relaxing experience.

We live in Hillsboro, KS. Quite the drive but make it a couple of days. I don't like to be in the car for too many hours. We don't like to fly so it is worth the drive. We love to cruise🤗🍷⛱

We're in Katy Texas and yes Galveston as well as New Orleans have been our to go ports. We've sailed with Carnival 9 times before and going on the Breeze in August!! We have 8 children along with some significant others!! Each cruise has been wonderful, but I must say NCL Getaway is outstanding!! If any of you have the opportunity to try it out you will be very pleasantly surprised!!

Did the grandkids do Camp Ocean? Thoughts?

ctblake    8 years ago

Us too because there aren't too many cruise ports in central kansas, when you start adding in airfare it starts taking the practicality out of cruising when taking the whole family

Same for us, only about an hour if trafflc is right.
