Better than expected

Sail Date: March 19, 2016

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship and food were better than we had expected.  The only down side was sailing out of Galveston.  It was closer for us in Colorado than Florida, but the ship was full of loud southern people, particularly Arkansas folks.  Constantly chanting their "Sooie" pig call got pretty old!

Cabin / Stateroom
Plenty of storage space, but quite small, especially the balcony. We had four people in there, everyone had their "space" but the ship is definitely showing her age and wear.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Disembarkation was a nightmare, took way too long, we almost lost our driver who waited over an hour and I had allowed plenty of time for the process
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
The extreme ziplining in Honduras was fantastic. The snorkel excursion to Sargent's Cay was awful
Onboard Activities
Definitely Carnival's weakest area
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Galveston, Texas
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Belize City, Belize
I don't know about the city itself. We were picked up at the ship by our boat for the snorkeling excursion and it took all day. Wished we had gone ashore instead.
Cozumel, Mexico
