Review summary

We love Carnival. The service is top notch and the food is really fresh and delicious. This is my 3rd Carnival cruise in 12 months and we're going again in December. This is the 2nd time in 6 months I've been on the Freedom and loved it both times.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Opted for the "your own time dining". Prefer this option. Never had to wait for a table for 4. Went to the Sun King restaurant for dinner one night. We all said it was the best meal we've ever had. The service was great.

Entertainment

Could not be by the pool area on the Lido Deck as the music was blasting so loudly. Could hear it all the way to my own balcony stateroom on the Spa floor room 1101. It is NOT necessary to have the music being played so loudly. It takes away from the enjoyment. The same goes for the lounge areas inside the ship.

Service and Staff

Couldn't find the room where we could get internet access. One of the staff from Guest Services actually walked us over to the Habana Bar, where it was located. Always there to help.

Ship Quality

Always being cleaned, easy to get to where you want to go once you familiarize yourself with the ship. The public areas were always being cleaned.

Very roomy balcony room. The most comfortable beds ever! Our cabin attendant knew our first names from day 1 and never forgot them. Amazing! Always kept our rooms fully stocked.

Ports of call

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

Very poor, but interesting. We went on the Off Road Adventure. Quite an interesting experience. Would recommend to anyone for a view at unspoiled nature. There is no quality shopping at this port

Have been to Cozumel numerous times, so this time we opted to go into town for the gest Maragaritas ever at Wet Wendy's. Nice shops downtown and at the port.

Loved our Aerial Tram and visit to Gamboa Rainforest Resort and to the rainforest. The views were spectacular! Highly recommend this excursion. The shopping here leaves a lot to be desired.

Pros: The food, the onboard accomodations and the service.

Cons: the loud music on the Lido deck. It could be turned down 50% and it would be much more enjoyable to listen to.
