Review summary

We had a great time. The boat is very beautiful with loads of places to hang out and do activities. Our kid LOVED Camp Ocean and came home every time with artwork and fun stories. The boat never seemed crowded or had long lines which was nice for this size boat. It was also very clean. The pool decks are a bit small but there’s lots of loungers on the decks above it if you want sun.

Embarkation

We had a suite so we got priority access. Quick and easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Bonzi Teppanyaki was outstanding, the main dining room was good with loads of options, Guys burgers are crave worthy. We ate breakfast at Chicken Shack and that was mediocre. My wife loved the salad bar in Serenity. Overall food was very good. We aren’t big drinks so the few drinks we had were just fine.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
1000 things to do all the time. Almost too much to do that you have to cut some activities short if you want to get to another one. Don’t miss the game Carnival Quest, an adults only, participation game. We came in 2nd place and won a bottle of Champaign!

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Shows are ok but plagued by technical issues one night. DJs were fine but it would be nice if on sea days it was blasting club music all day at the pool deck. A few hours of chill music would be nice n

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our 5 year old cried when we took her out of Camp Ocean. First thing she would say in the morning is “can I go to kids camp?”

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room service was great, Bonzi chef was hilarious, main dining room for choose your own time dining seemed a bit understaffed and uninterested. Idk if it’s because you get new servers, but I liked the service when a server knew you and you dined with them all week. However choose your own time is way more convenient with a child.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Super clean, like no dirt or trash anywhere even though there are hardly any public trash bins. The layout is a bit weird but mostly makes sense. Wish there was bigger/more pools and pool loungers but overall very pretty ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was a sweet suite. Very spacious, large balcony, huge bathroom with jetted bathtub and 2 sinks.

Ship tip

There is a motion sensor light near the bathroom that when someone went potty in the middle of the night, it would get very bright. We covered it with a bandaid and solved that problem!

Disembarkation

We started getting off at 9:30 and were in our car by 10:15 driving. Pretty fast and oddly and luggage was waiting for us.

So glad to know this ship had the motion lights for safety. Hope all ships make this upgrade. However I won't be covering it up 😆
