Review summary

Great short cruise. Carnival is still cutting corners here and there but overall a good vacation for the money.

Embarkation

Staff was great and the process was very smooth. The only downside was there was no water available. They have a space for concessions but it is not used. A few vending machines with water and snacks would be nice, especially if there is a delay in boarding. They made us dump our water bottle at security so there is nothing smaller until you are in board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Main dining room was extremely slow the first night. Food was just OK. We went back the second night and it was very fast and food was good. Staff were excellent both nights. The buffet on lido needs some work. The food was just ok…kinda bland. It was the same type of food in every station. NCL had different types of foods at different stations. I would have rather have had more options in the buffet. This is something I hope Carnival changes in the future. Again, staff was excellent! Bonsai Sushi was excellent! Guys Burger was also excellent! We didn’t like the chicken wings…they were dry and had no taste.

Disembarkation on that ship could use a lot of improvement. Our experience was that it was very disorganized and chaotic.

Thanks for the review and glad you had fun. Yes Carnival’s buffet is rather limited compared to some cruise lines but their numerous free food stations around the ship is the most extensive in the business. No need to eat in the buffet with so many other great options.
