Review summary

The initial cruise we were supposed to go on was leaving from Puerto Rico and travelling to 5 islands. With the damage from the hurricane we ended up with this cruise (free of charge only paying port expenses) and it was okay for a starter cruise. Taught us a few things about cruising, what to and what not to pack. Freeport was a waste of time since it was mainly industrial and had lots of damage from numerous hurricanes over the years. Only how I would go on this cruise ship again is if they didn't have a day at sea and were going to a bunch of different places.

The ship didn't leave on time and we could have gotten there much later that they said.

The drinks (alcohol wise) were great but the food was another story. For breakfast pork shouldn't be your only option. What ever happened to turkey bacon and sausage? For lunch and dinner minus salad, vegetables were a scarcity. It was as if you were begging for some fiber. The price they charge for water you might as well drink juice soda and alcohol since they are much cheaper.

The onboard activities were fine but I guess I should have looked into that before we went as I feel they catered to couples and older people.

Entertainment

Although the DJ was trash they knew how to entertain their major crowd. They should get the DJ and the host from Senor Frogs in Freeport to do it for them, they would pull a huge crowd.

The fee at night was ridiculous and that is the only time I needed it.

Minus the day we left the ship everything was great. The cleaning staff was rushing us out of our room.

The island itself was trash BUT on the port Senor Frogs is the place to be. So much fun there. It's like Vegas what happens there stays there.

I find myself drinking more Lemonade on a cruise than any other time. Water, coffee and maybe wine in the MDR, coffee and OJ at breakfast. Lunch it's lemonade or something from the bar, maybe soda. If I'm asked to purchase the bottled water in a glass bottle, I decline once and I'm not asked again.
