Review summary

We had a wonderful time on the cruise.  The ship was great, the staff was great, the weather was great.

The only complaint I have is with a shore excursion.  We spend $1000 for four of us to do the Atlantis deep water dolphin swim/water park combo package.  We were taken to the dolphin swim first and due to the time of our arrival, we had to wait an hour before we could start our turn.  This was not enough time to go to the water park, so we had to just sit and wait.  By the time our swim turn was over, it was after 2 p.m. and thus almost 3 p.m.  before we could enjoy the waterpark.  Not wanting to risk being left, we took the second to last shuttle back to the boat, which was at 430 p.m., giving us just a little over an hour at the waterpark.  I understand that Carnival has nothing to do with the scheduling at Atlantis; however, I do feel that you did a dis-service to us selling us a shore excursion package that was so expensive based on being able to do two activities; when due to traffic, and other complications clearly out of our control, we were not able to really enjoy what we paid for.   In the future you should either clarify to the customer that they may not get much time at the water park, or just not offer the package that says you can do both.  We basically spent $1000 to sit and wait for the next step at the dolphin swim.  Swimming with the dolphins was a great experience; however, the kids were really disappointed about the water park!  Most people do not want to spend that kind of money only to end up disappointed.
