Review summary
This was our first journey cruise but won't be our last!!!! Totally different vibe than any other cruise we've been on! More laid back, not a bunch of kids hogging the pool/hot tubs, only 29 passengers under the age of 18!!! Also could get a chair around the pool at any time of the day, chair hogs must do shorter cruises!

The comedian's were good. We didn't attend any of the stage shows, the music is too loud and hurts my ears.
Our ship just dropped anchor for a few hours in the lake and then we came back out the locks. Coming out they lowered the water too soon and our ship hit the locks doing damage to the serenity deck breaking glass, bending and breaking railing.
Have visited Cozumel many times! Love this place. This time we did a tour called Salsa, Salsa & more Salsa! Had a fantastic time!!! We went to Playa Mia resort by private van. Received a wrist band to have a free taxi ride back and another that entitled us to open bar/food at Playa Mia. We made a couple different salsa's and guacamole that were great! During our class we had a double shot of tequila, a couple margarita's (free flowing),and then learned how to salsa dance! Loads of fun! When class was over we were free to use the pool, beach, eat at the buffet, have more drinks etc. Also several little gift shops there in the complex also. Will definitely be going back to Playa Mia next time in Cozumel!
We will be doing this cruise next September on the Fantasy. I've been wondering how long the ship spends in the lake and what they do once through the locks. Thanks for the review, now I'm even more excited for our turn.
We always try to cruise when kids are in school. We did a 17 day Panama Canal cruise and I think we saw 1 teen and 1 baby on ours. The Panama Canal was really interesting going through and hearing about it. Glad you enjoyed it.
We were on this cruise and it was our first Journeys cruise. Carnival seemed to go all out and it was excellent. We’ve never had a midnight buffet on a cruise before, and the carved melons and ice figures were great. Honestly, we missed the kids...
