Overall the cruise was very good. The dining room staff did an exceptional job, and the steward did keep things clean. I was impressed with Paully, the cruise director, as he seemed to have an endless supply of energy. He did an exceptional job.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was excellent. The wait staff in the dining room (Jubilee) did an outstanding job, and worked tirelessly to make it an enjoyable experience. They called us by name even when we saw them working other duties throughout the ship. I was taken aback a little by the fact they charge for room service from 10:00 pm until 6:00 am. Also I was surprised that the lobster choice wasn’t offered (except with the surcharge) as a main course selection even on elegant dress night.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We went to the pool and the casino several times. Both were highly enjoyable.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We went to a comedy show, a music show, and an adults love & marriage show. All were highly enjoyable.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I’m giving 5 stars solely based upon the waiters performance in the dining area and other food service personnel. Unlike my previous cruise (4 years ago) where it seemed the steward went in my room every time I left, on this cruise I saw my steward very little. The room was cleaned and fresh linen was supplied daily, but it seemed the quantity of service (as opposed to quality) has diminished.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The commons read could have been paid a little more attention. Several instances I saw paper, etc laying around. I also understand that on a ship that size preventative maintenance is an ongoing job, but you would think painting, scrubbier decks, etc would be done later in the evening when the majority of passengers have gone to bed.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was extremely comfortable and everything worked. I do wish the air conditioner had been a little cooler but it was adequate.
Ship tip
Plan on using the stairs quite a bit. Several elevators were out of service for the majority of the cruise.
Access to the Port of Mobile is exceptional. Embarkation was very quick. I would have been happier if they had told us we wouldn’t be allowed in the parking garage until 10:15. Parking area isn’t large enough.
Went in to Progresso by cab and went to the public beach. Very nice beach but you will have a hard time enjoying it because of all the peddlers trying to sell you something. If you have the time/money invest in one of the excursions.
Other than the long wait period until our floor was called, disembarkation went very smoothly. Very long wait time to get off the boat and I’m not sure why, but Customs only had 4 of a possible 8 lanes open.
