Review summary

This was our first cruise. We were very excited to go with a group from our church. We had a total of 19 people go. The food was good, but for the most part, the atmosphere was that of a party. The shows at night were not that family friendly. I had to leave with my family on one occasion during a show because the music and dancing was very sexually oriented. Also, there was never anything geared toward Christianity. There was an LGBT gathering. There was a Hunakah event. But nothing to celebrate Christ. Even on the Sunday we were at sea, no church service or chapel.......nothing. But there sure was stuff for the LGBT. I don't think that I will be going back on this cruise. We were not satisfied. Sorry Carnival.

Ship tip

The ship shakes and you get a little dizzy when it goes over 15 knots per hour. Also, our cruise didn't have too many family friendly events. Also there was a lot of drinking going on, which we do not participate in. The casino smells like smoke (every time we walked by, we had to hold our breath.)

Just to state I am a Christian. Carnival holds a special, non-denominational Christmas service either December 24 or 25, depending on the cruise itinerary. This service will feature hymns, prayers and plenty of stories to bring everyone closer together during the holiday season. If you went earlier this month during Hanukkah than that's why you saw Hanukkah events. If you want a Christmas cruise or a specific "Christian" cruise then you need plan accordingly. Every cruise it what you make of it. Let me tell you, it didn't stop me from praying and enjoying myself. We planned family events during our cruise such as Hasbro game night, Towel Animals Theater, Doctor Seuss at Seas, and the shows we picked to watched were very family friendly. The lounge on Sunday morning had people singing hymns and it was beautiful. Your Church group could have initiated a service and been a light to thousands but you missed the opportunity.

So basically the heathen's of the world are not permitted to cruise with christians on carnival!!!!! Why are the most judgmental people in this world claiming to be Christian? I'm catholic and was raised to NOT JUDGE!!!!! I have a suggestion... go start your own Christian based cruise line and good luck making a profit. I am so tired of people in this world worrying about other people instead of them selves. Live your own lives and judge yourself. Believe it or not people take cruises and do what they choose on their vacations that they spent their hard earned money on. If you dont want to go to a show then dont but dont complain that the shows dont live up to your holier than tho selves!!!!!

Try RCI it’s more family friendly and if you can afford it Disney is the best family friendly. I don’t remember any thing inappropriate on Disney but carnival is more of a party compared to all the other cruise lines from my experience. I don’t approve of everything that takes place on board the ship but to each there owe. We live in a fallen world. U do your thing and I’ll do mine. God judges those outside of the church we can only pray and point people in the right direction if they repent of their sin and turn to Christ then the angels sing 🎶 and the Lord rejoice because the judgement of God is no more for all those in Christ. Hallelujah to our king 👑. Thank you Jesus for saving me.

Carnival has a gospel cruise about once a year not sure when. Their 800 number could help. Seems like Sandi Patty headlined it once. Carnival cruise is a party boat. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and there’s nothing wrong with that. You may enjoy another cruise line with an older and more conservative crowd.

I don’t see the OP as intolerant, just wondering why other groups had activities but none for their group. Most cruise lines have an early comedy show, then later at night have an adult comedy show (typically the same jokes but profanity laced) and they’ll let you know it’s inappropriate for youngsters. Carnival is absolutely more of a party cruise and other cruise lines tend to be more mellow with older cruisers. Don’t give up, just do more research (how long of a cruise, what time of year, cruise line, etc). All of those details make a difference in who you’ll be cruising with...

If you did your homework you would find that Carnival is considered to be the party cruise line. That said, we have cruised on Carnival 3 times, Royal once and NCL once. My daughter and her family cruise Carnival too. Her kids are 19 and 11 and always have a good time. They don't go to adult shows. I have yet to find anything about Christianity on any of the cruise lines we have been on, NCL, Royal Caribbean or Carnival.

You can arrange your own service before the cruise starts by calling the cruise line. Your right that lots of cruise lines no longer have service for Christian. As for carnival I will not be going to the shows anymore they were over the top with sexually. If they were late at night and told that they were rated r then I would know not to go. But they should tone them back down when children are going to be present

You could have had your own event. We had the piano bar singing hymns. Light your world.

For a christian you sound very intolerant of others. Do you have something against jews and members of LBGT community
