I will never get on a carnival cruise ship again. Overall the trip was not good. There was poor communication about the storm the captain gave us little details about what was actually happening
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Staff was very pleasant
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The service and food were both bad
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I’m only giving them a 4 because they had to come up with activities for an extra 2 days. Otherwise it would be lower. The activities were unorganized and boring
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The DJs saved the entertainment they were full of energy and made sure ppl stayed entertained
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
The dining staff often took very long to bring food and then brought the wrong things. They treated us like our requests were an inconvenience to them.
While in the buffet area I had my plate taken several times before I was even finished. If you put your fork down for too long they would take your plate.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
This ship is old rusty and outdated. It’s time to retire her! There was mold and rust in our shower. The walls were peeling...sheets and comforters were stained. There were layers of dirty all over our cabin
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Moldy shower
Broken pictures
Thick layers of dust
Torn curtains
Nasty stained sheets
My excursion was cancelled due to the storm. So we found a different excursion. Services were not rendered at all! It was supposed to be inclusive food and drinks. I received one drink and no food. The beach was dirty and rocky. When I tried to get a refund the manager avoided me and wouldn’t talk to me. When he finally did he was rude and did not want to give me a refund. I left after 2 and half hours. I still only had one drink
After being stuck on board for an extra 2 days you would think the staff would have been a bit more helpful and friendly. They rushed us off and treated us like it was our fault.
On board food is a matter of taste for what us being served. What your taste is may be different for others. I'm not satisfied at every meal with what is being served but I'll make do with what's on the menu.
The fantasy is part of their older fleet. Obviously the bigger newer ships are nicer but you will still have a great time! All vacations are what you make of it! :)
Some of us have never cruised before. With that said, I am going on my first cruise on the Fantasy in 3 months. It’s very disappointing when your level of excitement is crushed by a fellow cruiser complaining of the appearance of the ship you are going to soon be going on.
I think every cruise line in the Caribbean the past two months have each lost at least 200 cruisers reading these reviews. Big circle with 200 from Line A to Line B. And 200 from Line B to Line C. Finally 200 from Line C to Line A. I'm getting dizzy!!
