Review summary

Not my favorite ship or destinations but Mikey the cruise director was amazing. His energy was contagious. He truly made us not think about how horrible our room smelled and how loud it was until we had to go back to it.

The food at the buffet was inedible. The main dining and deli were good. The drinks were also pretty good.

We went to the night club, the casino, the comedy club and numerous trivia and shows. All were great.

Mikey the Cruise Director was amazing. He was extremely energetic and had the crowd going all the time. He was very friendly and inviting. He truly made the cruise enjoyable and exciting.

All staff and servers were friendly. I asked our ship steward not to turn down the bed until the evening since you can't get around the room when it's open and the second night she forgot to turn it down after that she kept it down the whole time. It was very uncomfortable but she was also the restaurant hostess so I am sure she was spread too thin.

The Fantasy is a very old ship or just looks it. It's pretty run down and in desperate need of an overhaul.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin smelled awful. Damp ridden and moldy. The bathroom had mold and smelled like latrine. Thank goodness I brought the lysol with me. Went through the whole can. It was awful.

My first place to getting the odor removed would be with the cabin steward and next would be to keep the BR door closed as much as possible. The exhaust system works off a positive system and if people keep the balcony doors open, cabin doors open, that odor will come back out the vents.

We always take air freshener anyway for the bathroom. Small spaces ALWAYS need air freshener no matter where it is! As for loud...watch where you select your room! When we went the first time in 2014 we had ZERO issues with either of these.
