Carnival Fantasy

6 Night Bermuda (Charleston Roundtrip)

Sail date: June 16, 2011

Ship: Carnival Fantasy

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

The ship is the oldest in the Carnival fleet. However, it has been redone and looks nice. The stateroom was larger than I remember on other cruises. However, the staff of the boat could have been friendlier. Also, if you wanted to lay out, get there by 8 and save yourself a seat. Even though Carnival said they monitored this and a towel or "saved" seat would be taken after 30 min., I never saw this implemented. We walked around the boat for a long time looking for seats. Very frustrating!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Great entertainment and activities.

Service and Staff

Only one waiter was really above expectations.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Smaller boat than we have been on before. Everything looked nice and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very large however we ran out of body wash and they told us the ship didn't have any more until the return to Charleston.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

The time we were there was very frustrating because most stores were closed. You felt forced to take an excursion just to get to see the island. They have a ferry, but on Sat. and Sun. they don't run too frequently. Bermuda is very beautiful though.

Pros: Food was great!

Cons: Service at meals not so great. Time in port was when most shops were closed.
