Review summary
We booked this cruise because our 11 1/2 yr old grandson wanted to participate in onboard activities; he didn't want to be with the little kids, 3-11, but since he's a 6th grader and all of his friends are 12 and 13 (he's the youngest in his class) he wanted to be with Circle C. Before we booked I called the 800 number for Carnival and was told just to talk to the Circle C staff once we got n board and it shouldn't be a problem. When we got there the woman who was working the evening of 8/31 was absolutely unmoveable and wouldn't even talk to us. We said we'd sign any sort of waiver, etc., that we wanted him with 12-14 yr olds. Our grandson had gone in the afternoon to check Circle C out and she was rude to him and we found him in our cabin trying to hide the fact he'd been crying. We tried to find Marissa, who was supposedly in charge, but were never successful despite going to find her several times. This really ruined our grandson's cruise; he'll never cruise on Carnival again, that's for sure. Carnival should rethink this policy and discipline this employee. Parents (we have custody of our grandson) know where their children belong. Not many 11 yr olds would want to be with younger children only; parents should decide where their kids fit best.Ship experiences
