Review summary

The food on this ship was so bad, we didn't even go to the dining room several nights. It was better to eat from the all night pizza bar. The service in the dining room was poor too- had to ask several times for things and then we still didn't always get them.

Most of the staff was friendly but there were some who completely ignored you or treated you like you were bothering them. Example: I got a manicure and tried several times to make conversation with the manicurist. She answered me with yes or no and I finally stopped trying and we finished in silence.

Ship Quality

Everything was clean even though it was very old. The only problem was a puddle in a public bathroom - I fell in it and had to report it to 3 people before it was cleaned up an hour later.

Cabin / Stateroom

No problems except for faint cigarette odor - they kept stateroom clean every day and it was roomy and comfy.

Ports of call

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Progresso must be a fairly new cruise ship stop - they are not as comercialized as other places I have been on cruises. I liked the fact that their markets are more like outdoor bazaars and you can interact more with the local people. Be careful with children because the markets are full of things that I consider "pornographic" right out in the open.

Cozumel was fun - but stick to Aamerican food - real Mexican food leaves a lot to be desired! The shopping was great, easy walking.
