The Elation is one of our favorite ships to sail on. Reason being is that it is a small ship and easier to get around on

Review summary

It was a fun ship. We love cruising with Carnival. This is number 13 for me and we will continue traveling with them.

Embarkation

Super easy love sailing out of this port. If we can drive to a port we do and this is one of the one we can drive to pretty easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food menu needs to be updated. It looks like all the better menu choices that we have had on this ship before have been moved to the longer sailing days example the roasted pineapple desert is on the 7 day cruises now. I asked about it because I had it last year on this same cruise ship.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the pool. Just wish there were more hot tubs and some for just kids

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows were ok not like the last time. I dont know how often they change them up. They need to move the comedy club to the theater when it is not in use. The club is not big enough and you have to stand in line for awhile before it starts to even get a chance to get in

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was nice. It worked out ok for 3 people

Ship tip

If you like a smaller ship this is the one for you. I have a hard time walking so this ship is easy for me to handle.

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

Love this port. Never have a problem here. Once we got to the port and parked we were in line to board when it was available

Nassau, Bahamas

It is a nice port. Love shopping at the straw market. Junko beach is always fun

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Needs some updates for sure. I know there is only so much they can do regarding the water but you have to be super careful when you walk into the ocean as you never know when you are going to bang your foot on a rock.

Disembarkation

Super easy. That is on reason we love this port. Everyone at the port is super helpful
