Review summary

We enjoyed Bimini the most. We don’t sail Carnival often but were going to be in Jacksonville so thought we’d tie into that and try a new port. The ship was very crowded which probably negatively influenced our perception of the trip. The service was good aboard and we met some fun people. There was always something going on especially at the pool!

Took quite a bit longer than we are used to it taking. Long lines. This was our first time sailing from Jacksonville so maybe this is the norm for this port. The lines moved but ….

We tend to avoid the buffet and mainly eat in the MDR. Had good service and were pleased with our meals. We didn’t have a set dining time but kept to pretty much the same area so learned the staff- they remembered us even when they saw us at breakfast!

We didn’t go to a show but enjoyed the live music around the ship.

Cruise staff always seem to be working hard to ensure passengers have a good time. We’re not at work, it’s sunny and folks are bringing us drinks so we tend to be easy to please LOL.

Ship tip

We liked the itinerary but our sailing was very full which made it hard to move around the pool and some of the bars. It also made for congestion at the elevators.

Nassau, Bahamas

We’ve been here a few times so didn’t spend much time ashore. We actually stopped in Freeport and there were a few shops right at the port. You could take transport to the straw market etc but we opted to go back and relax on the emptier ship

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

We actually went to Bimini instead of Princess Cay. We took off on our own and went to a beach we had read about and had a lovely day.

Jacksonville, Florida

We didn’t spend time in Jacksonville but do find the airport there easy to navigate. We spent time at the beaches nearby as we have family there.
