Review summary

I was asked to plan a "first time cruise" for a friend and her mom. So I went along, to show them the ins/outs, what to do, etc. They had a blast! On our way back home, they were asking me when could I plan another cruise for them. They are hooked! LOL

This was my third time on the Elation since Oct 2022. The food in the main dining room had been bland on my previous cruises. But this time every single dish was wonderful!!

I love these Fantasy Class ships. They are big enough, without being too big nor too crowded. Easy to find my way around on as well. Carnival Corp: please keep your last 2 Fantasy Class ships......Paradise and Elation.

No complaints. Perfect location.

Ship tip

Do not miss dinner in the formal dining room. It was the highlight of our evenings.

Jacksonville, Florida

I really like leaving out of the Jacksonville port. It's easy to get to, and easy to get in/out.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

It's an industrial port. So you have to take a taxi to really go anywhere or see anything. We took a van to Banana Bay and had a wonderful time.

Nassau, Bahamas

There were 4 other ships in port when we were there, but surprisingly it didn't seem overly crowded when we were walking around shopping most of the day. It was actually nice and relaxing.
