Review summary

Carnival can be hit or miss. Outside of the food being just ok, we had a fun time. The staff on this ship was top notch. Very fun. Lots of activities for everyone. I’m not a pool person. The pool area was stupid crowded and too small, but didn’t impact me because that’s not my thing. It was way too hot. It’s a smaller ship. Cruises are what you make them. Join in and do stuff and you’ll have fun.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It went smoothly outside of having to walk up to the ship outside in the heat. Uphill ramps outside. Very different from other terminals.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
There’s a lack of vegan options (still) on carnival. They are very behind. The food in the dining room was good. Lack of seasoning or over salting the food. Lack of variety. The buffet is a waste of time. Pizza was decent. Chairs in dining room were rock hard. Staff in dining room was wonderful.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I’ve never had a bad massage on a cruise ship and this time was just as good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Carnival Quest was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done on a cruise. Comedy is always fun and funny. Stephan was a great cruise director. 80s party was a blast.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Ship personnel were top notch. Seriously, everyone was a pleasure to be around.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean. Easy to walk around. Great shape for age of ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It’s just small otherwise comfy bed, decent bathroom. Good location too.

Ship tip

Check bags because if departing from Jacksonville, you don’t want to drag them up to the ship. Get the FFTF.

Disembarkation

Very easy with FFTF but elevators were not all in service so we dragged luggage up the stairs. We were off the ship before 8am!

great review and a great attitude. I think your cabin was in a great location near both sets of elevators
