This is a beautiful ship that feels much larger than it is. I would absolutely sail on her again, but I would choose a higher deck, and mid ship or aft since 5 forward is so incredibly noisy and full of motion.
Embarkation

Super easy port, good lunch buffet at Tiffany’s, exciting to sail under the bridge!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The buffet on Elation was better than other Carnival ships I’ve sailed. The MDR was very hit or miss. The port day breakfast left much to be desired, but the sea day brunch was very good.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
There weren’t as many fun activities scheduled as I expected. We did have some down time on the sea day.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We went on a Christmas cruise so we really enjoyed the Christmas show. The Diva’s show was not what we expected, and we didn’t even bother with Epic Rock. One of the comedians was funny, the other was not. There was a live band called Blaze that was very good. They performed near the Casino at the bar.
Service and Staff

Our room Stewart was amazing, as was our MDR dining team.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The design of Elation made it feel so much bigger than it actually is. It’s a prettier and better maintained ship than Glory. The outside definitely needs repairs.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
This is a porthole room. It was much more spacious than I expected. There was actually room for a chair, although there wasn’t one. It should have had 2 nightstands, but only had 1. The storage and bathroom size was standard. My only real complaint was the noise when coming in to port. I was not prepared for the long, lengthy noise each time the ship came in to dock. I cannot even describe the whining, roaring, clanging sound that lasted at least 30 minutes. It wasn’t a big deal docking at Freeport at noon. It was worse docking at 8 am at Bimini. But returning to Jacksonville we were awakened by the horrible noise at 5:45 am. If you choose to book this room, be prepared for it to be super
noisy Doo
Ship tip
The comedy club is super cold! Wear a jacket! Make sure to go to the sun deck at the beginning of sail off to see how close the top of the ship is to the bridge. The atrium is beautiful, but it is small and doesn’t host much. Trivia and bands are at the Dream Bar adjacent to the casino.
We walked down to disembark and left the ship within 3 minutes. We waited behind one person at customs, and was in our car driving away within 15 minutes of leaving our cabin.
