Review summary

I was upset that Carnival has the right to change the cruise at any time. I bought this cruise to see Nassau, which got changed to Bimini a week before we left. I wouldn’t have bought it to begin with if that was the case, but I made the best of it and had a great time!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick and organized!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Lots of options for food. Burgers, Pizza, tacos, a buffet, and casual dining for dinner. A few unique food items that were fun to try like ox tongue and frog legs. All you can eat all day so spent most my time here lol!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The 4 hot tubs onboard were usually always packed and the one pool was always freezing cold but that was nice on the hot days. There’s also mini golf, a few water slides and a fitness center onboard but I didn’t experience them.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great shows! Very good singers/dancers for the main shows and the smaller activities like trivia were fun to participate in too.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff were so friendly but a few made a huge impact on our trip. Our waiter for every dinner, Pedro, was so personable, had great service and remembered our names and how we like to order! Chef Deepesh made great food, was good at multitasking to make the lines go faster, and was the kindest, friendliest person to talk to about our day and his home back in India! Lastly, Kadek, was our room attendant and he always was nice and did an excellent, thorough job with cleaning every day!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The staff work so hard and do a great job keeping areas clean! The boat layout was a little confusing the first day but there’s lots of shortcuts to different floors which are helpful instead of going all the way around!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The stateroom size was perfect for two people. We had tons of room to layout our suitcases. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was always clean!

Ship tip

Get out of your comfort zone and have fun! And maybe get the drink package, would’ve saved lots of money haha!

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

5 out of 5
Very quick, organized embarkation. Disembarkation was organized but took a whole lot longer. They should have times to sign up for on when to get off the boat to make it a quicker process.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

4 out of 5
Not the prettiest port pulling in. Wishing I would have payed for an excursion because This island wasn’t walking friendly. No sidewalks to get around the island and taxis were extremely expensive. Immediately getting off you have people pulling you into their little shops to try and sell you something. Looking back, I would’ve picked an excursion that lasted all day to make the best of it.

Bimini, Bahamas

5 out of 5
I didn’t buy an excursion here either but it was a way better experience! Beautiful port and beaches. The resort was $20 there, but I took a $5 taxi to the local beach instead and spent all day there! Cute market place close by. Drink huts on the beach and payed another $5 to play beach volleyball all day. Beautiful waters to swim in. Definitely best day of the cruise.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Organized but still could have been more organized. I was waiting in line for 1.5 hours to get off the boat. Timed disembarkation could’ve made it go smoother instead of allowing all main stations to get off at the same time.
