Personal recommendations:
* Adult hot tubs close too early and inadequate capacity. Maybe a policy no sitting on the top of the tubs or something to move the partiers from not sharing.
* Need more cocktail runners
* Did not like the internet or alcohol policy that is priced per day but required all days to be purchased. Seems like deception. Just list a lump sum for trip if that's the intention.
* Purchased a Piece of Jewelry ($1250) that I was told was a great deal and priced way under market price on the ship just to go home and find same or better pieces for a fraction of the price. This was an ill feeling and even thought It was a store vendor, Carnival should be accountable for making sure pricing is fair. Not the lowest, but fair. I feel taken advantage of on that respect.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easiest and most efficient yet, much better then year's past. No long line and simple safety
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Drinks add up to the cost, but expected. Food was all fresh, shorter lines and everything was clean, great job!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
So many to choose from. Only issue was formal dining to show timing is difficult to do both with 8:15 diner.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The performers are all amazing! They even improvised a Rock show that may have easily been canceled but to safety issues. WELL DONE!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Friendly, always smiling and making travelers feel welcomed. There could be a few more deck waiters for drinks but totally understand the Covid changes.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Nicely laid out ship plan and in this Covid times, I felt about as safe as I can in a larger occupied trip. The disinfecting and mask reminders were welcomed!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
As expected and Darwin was very attentive! It's amazing how many people travel and how often the cabin turn overs are that the crew remembers names! That is a nice touch!
Was under construction and I've been here a few times so nothing bad about Carnival but not one of my preferred stops. We just did snorkeling and returned. It was an improvement without the large market you had to walk thru in the past!
Boat fairy was efficient and easy. Other then a beach, the shops and food are pretty much same as the ship. It would be nice if the shallow waters could be raked of sharp rocks and dead coral. Also more drink waiters by the beach. Perhaps some specialty Island drinks or food not available on the Ship!
Note to self: never believe a jewelry salesman when he says the price is a great deal, even on a cruise ship where they know you can't do much research.
Despite all the glowing “I got a hot deal” from Effy and others, I have found that your story is the most common, but most hidden, version. I remember one sales droid touting 12k gold as being the best for jewelry. To me, that is cheap kid’s stuff. 14 is minimum for workhorse stuff like wedding rings and daily wear. Yet they were trying to sell 12k for the price of fancy 18k.
