Review summary

This was mine and my families and friends first cruise....It was so disappointing. The pool was broken, the food was OK but not great. We missed both ports because of ship issues, and we only received $100 for losing out on that. When were finally let off in the Bahamas, we only had four hours to do anything. I have called Carnival to officially complain as well as my family and friends...and it pretty much was...oh well you got all you are going to get from us. The sea sickness was the high light though...I'm all about giving second chances to places, but at this point I would rather book a vacation at Chernobyl than ever go on Carnival again...might have a better time there!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Had us leave our rooms at 830 am, to sit or stand around for over three hours ...kept saying it was due to going through customs

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Buffet was OK, sometimes bland..dining room was great, special restaurant s always closed early... Bars were always long wait times

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pool was broken for the first day and a half, the stand up shows were great. Art gallery was nice unless you "won " something then the catch was...oh well you have to buy three paintings in order to get your prize. Rock and diva show great!! Kids took over the hot tubs so abults were never in them

Entertainment

4 out of 5
DJ was good, only on maybe 2 or 3 times..musicians were great

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Friendly...very overworked since we missed both of our ports and had to stay on the ship

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Very confusing...had to go up decks to go down one in front because there was no other way to some areas

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We booked 2 double beds, when we got in, it was a king.. Had to hunt someone down to fix it..but other than that..very nice

Ship tip

103 nights on Carnival, never an issue. I would have been very disappointed to have to be on the ship with no ports for sure though, especially in rough seas. Definitely not typical of Carnival. Every time we had a weather or medical issue that changed our itinerary it turned out to be much better than the original one planned. I think the captain dropped the ball on this one.

Sounds like Carnival.

I saw it when you were in Nassau. Looked to be in rough shape.
