Review summary

Although I enjoy all the cruises I go on, including this one, I won't be going on this ship again. She's a little too small for me. The cabin was nicely updated with USB ports and a bigger TV. But good Lord, did we ROCK and ROLL. No stabilizers I was told. We don't get seasick but this is the first ship where we felt a little nauseous a couple of times. Beware this ship if you do.

We arrived over an hour before our boarding time but we were able to practically walk right on the ship when we got there. The cabins weren't ready until 1:30p so we just ate and explored the ship until then.

I like to book aft cabins but this U228 one on Deck 6 was a little smaller than we've had before. It was nicely updated and the A/C worked great. The beds were very comfortable but when on the balcony, we'd almost have to shout when the ship was full steam ahead. We could also hear the drone of the engines at night. It was only really peaceful when the ship was in port. So I really can't reccomend this cabin because that loud balcony.

Ship tip

This ship is very rocky. Aft cabin balconies on Deck 6 are very loud.

Love this port! Second time here and it was perfect. Plenty of free chairs with umbrellas available. No need for a beach excursion. It's right there at the port for you to enjoy.

Gospel, that's called getting your land legs back. And yes, it was just the Elation out of the many cruises I've been on.

I never feel nauseous but every cruise we been on I feel a lot of motion and 2 years ago it took me over a month to stop feeling it. So it's not just the elation or smaller ships.
