Overall I love crusing. I will go on future cruises. But I will not let my daughter participate in the camps unless I know I can for sure count on the staff. We went through a few storms and the boat was rocking. That wasn't fun. The dining staff were amazing and so was our room attendant. I don't think I'll ever go on carnival elation again but I will most definitely always use carnival cruise line.
Embarkation

Embarkation went ok. We had an aunt in a scooter and they let us all go together so we didn't get separated. That was nice.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

We played mini golf one day and it was nice. Perfect size for our family. We also done ping pong one day and it was also fun. We went to the water slide area and it was nice. The little pool area behind the slides were perfect for my daughter. I just wish there would have been more for my 17 month old daughter to enjoy.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
This was by far the worst experience of the entire cruise. I thought my daughter would love going seeing as she goes to daycare every day and loves the other children. I took her on a port day for 2 hours so I could have some adult time with my family and explore the ship. I noticed my phone they had given me was dead so I went to exchange it and when I went in there she was crying so hard that her face was red and I could see the veins in her forehead. There were two girls in there that were probably 8 or 9 that had came up to me and said she cried the whole time she was in there. I was very upset that no one bothered to call me on the provided phone. When I first walked up the woman at the door was trying to get me to give her all kind of information (which I know is protcol) but my daughter was crying so bad she was holding her breath. I then got my daughter and we went to find my family. I was crying at this point because I felt like I let my daughter down by taking her to the camp. I went back about 15 minutes later because they forgot to put her shoes and bottle in her bag. While I was standing at the door I heard one of the staff making a comment that my daughter had cried the whole time. I had left a paper in there and she was telling another staff "this is the paper for the little girl that cried the whole time she was in here". Overall, I would NEVER recommend camp ocean to anyone. I won't bring my daughter back either.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
I was very pleased with all of the staff especially the dining room staff. Superman and Nuu were always very amazing. The only staff I was displeased with was the camp ocean staff. Very unprofessional.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was very maintained and anytime there was a mess they were quick to clean it.
Cabin / Stateroom

The overall experience of the cabin was very well. We had plenty of room and anytime it was messy it was easy to clean and superman always made sure we had anything we needed.
Ship tip
One piece of advice I would give someone about carnival elation is don't use the camp ocean for kids under 2. It isn't worth having your child upset. Also, if you need guest services get there early because we waited in line for an hour. Just try to enjoy your time after all you are on a boat in the middle of the ocean.
This was a beautiful port. We just used the small kids play area they have. I would love to go back with someone to watch my baby and do the ziplining.
Sorry about your bad experience with camp. All the people I know that cruise Carnival love it. This is the first complaint I've seen. Kids practically beg their parents to go. But being under 2 is different. They should have tried and found you.
